Preparing for your A-Level Revision
A-level revision can seem overwhelming, you maybe feeling under pressure. A-level exams have the potential to change your life in many ways, therefore, it is important to have the correct approach to revision.
General Revision tips
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when you are preparing your A-level revision, but remember they are only a guide, everyone confronts revision in different ways.

Start your A-level revision early, you may not want to even think about it now but you will only be making matters harder for yourself in the long run!

Create a realistic A-level revision plan that you honestly think you will be able to stick to before your exams.

Stay organised. Be aware of the revision progress you have made in each A-level subject so you don't fall into a trap of revising over old ground.

Find yourself a comfortable place to do your A-level revision, free from distractions.

Take some time to research into different methods of A-level revision e.g. verbally, or visually, you may find it easier to fragment revision over a long period of time.

Consider finding a private tutor to help boost your grades.

Take regular breaks, if you try and learn too much information at once, you may well find that you forget the important material.

Stay healthy - this is fairly obvious but you would be surprised how many people forget to take care of themselves and succumb to stress near exam time.

Set yourself achievable goals and targets, there is no point urging yourself to achieve something that is unrealistic.

Practice with as many A-level past papers as you can to prepare for the real thing.

Don't be afraid to ask your teachers for help, that is what they are there for!

Try not to worry about your revision for A-level exams, as long as you keep calm and make every effort not to leave your revision to the last minute, you should be fine. Create a picture in your head with all that you will achieve in the end!
