My name is Abi and I'm a Tutor, Actor and award winning Writer from Yorkshire (now living in Tunbridge Wells) I have many years of experience as a Tutor and have watched my students thrive from working one on one. I find working like this a fantastic way of reaching a student's potential. I'm friendly, patient and engaging and like to make the work fun and interesting. I have an absolute passion for literature and I love watching the people I work with grow in confidence week by week!

I have helped children pass many school exams and specialise in English language, English Lit, Creative writing, Comprehension and Drama/Acting at every level and am happy to work towards entrance exams, 11 plus, SATS, GCSE and more. Just let me know what you need!

I'm happy to help with practical exams in Drama/Theatre studies. I can also support with audition pieces for entry into Drama schools, Lamda exams or even public speaking/confidence building of any kind!

A note for parents/carers : I'm happy to teach online and will send all resources to you beforehand. I have found this a really successful way to teach students.

Tutoring Experience

I have many years teaching experience in a wide range of different schools across London and therefore know the curriculum extremely well and what is expected! I've worked with children of all ages and abilities including working in a number of schools with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special educational needs. I have made many breakthroughs with fantastic children, who often find the school environment challenging.

I've also been an Actor for 17 years and have a real sense of how to work with people and especially how to bring out the best in those who are feeling under confident. I've worked with many individuals on audition pieces for Lamda and entry into drama school and as a Writer, I have a strong understanding of the English language and can help support students with structuring their English exams and bringing out their imagination in creative writing.

Often children will feel unconfident in certain subjects and therefore stay quiet at school, never being able to get the support that they really need. I'll help to build a student's confidence and encourage your child not to be afraid to have a go!
