Abisha

I am currently in year 3 at University of Portsmouth, studying Childhood and Youth Studies. I am a motivated and enthusiastic individual that approaches all elements of work with a positive mindset. I have a strong commitment to provide children with engaging learning experiences and opportunities for growth. I hope to become a primary school teacher.

Tutoring Experience

I did a two week work experience placement working with all the year groups at a primary school. I also did tutoring for a year through zoom, I have been teaching 5 students on their maths to help them improve their grades at school. I have also helped my brother and my cousins with their learning.

Tutoring Approach

I teach the topics that the students do at school and I also ask them what they find hard at school. I would first teach them the topic so that they understand it and after that I would give them topic questions so they can answer. I also use maths books and resources to help then improve their maths skills and knowledge.
