Hi! My name is Adam and I am currently a Biochemistry student studying at Durham University. I am very passionate about life sciences and hope to enter the Pharmaceutical industry once I graduate (even though I know it will be a struggle!). I am also learning Japanese in my spare time. Outside of academics, I am an avid volleyball and football player where I represent my college teams.
•2 months experience in teaching GCSE Maths and Science to GCSE students.
•1 month experience teaching A-level Biology and Chemistry to Y12 students.
Having tutored multiple students in my previous secondary school and sixth form, I have learnt to cater my teaching style towards student's unique needs, allowing them to excel within that subject. I emphasise practising knowledge and skills learnt within the lesson, whether that be through past exam questions or interactive problem-solving activities. This is to ensure that the student has a sound understanding of the material and is very well-prepared for future assessments. I aim to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment within these lessons, resulting in increased confidence and academic success.
I aim to teach online (specifically zoom) and I use my iPad to write on the whiteboard feature.
