I am a recent graduate of Oxford University, having read Psychology & Philosophy. I attained a high 2.1 grade.
I have ten GCSE qualifications, receiving 9 A*s and one B at this level of education. I took 3 A-Levels, receiving three A*s, along with an A* in my Extended Project Qualification.
I have tutored several students at GCSE level for Mathematics; one of these students I also tutored for other subjects, including Biology and History. I have also tutored someone in AS-Level Mathematics. Most of these students have improved their grades while we worked together; a student I am currently tutoring, and have over the course of their AS and A-Levels, has improved from a D grade to a B grade over the course of his tuition.
When working through problems, I encourage students to work through as independently as possible, only nudging them in the right direction if they really need it, or simply encouraging them. I really believe that teaching with enthusiasm is the best way to get the best performance out of students. This goes for teaching both content and problem-based work.
