Nazarul-Islam Adam

I am currently a Law Lecturer at a UK Russell Group University. I have been teaching law for over 10 years on both undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. I have been responsible for preparing, delivering, and assessing all learning on core units for a qualifying law degree, as well as optional units such as IP Law, Commercial, Corporate and Business, Civil Litigation and Advocacy.

In additional to providing the theoretical knowledge needed for assessments, I can also provide progression support for students through assisting with job applications and providing opportunities for students to take part in debating/mooting competitions, for which I can provide coaching.

I also provide support with developing practical skills, such as advocacy, opinion writing, essay writing and conducting research; skills that are crucial if you want to practice law in the future.

I also have experience as an A level law examiner, specifically for the OCR exam board.

Tutoring Approach

I consider myself approachable and friendly and always want my students to feel at ease and comfortable to ask questions. There is no greater sin than to make a fascinating subject appear dull. I therefore try to ensure my classes are as engaging as possible. I regularly arrange trips for my students so that they can witness the Law in action. We have been to the Houses of Parliament to watch the MPs and the Lords debate our Laws. I have taken students to the UK Supreme Court to watch our most senior judges in action. I am enthusiastic about the Law, it is truly a fascinating subject to study, I hope to instil within my students this same passion.
