Hi, I'm Adam. I am a third year physics student at the University of Oxford. I have have a passion for maths and physics as well as helping others gain a better understanding of these subjects.
I have experience with maths and physics tutoring in key stages 2, 3, 4 and 5. This included a long span of volunteer tutoring in maths for a GCSE student with English as a second language. I have experience with a range of starting points, both those who are struggling and those who just want to get ahead. Outside of tutoring, I have worked with children at Alpadia Language Schools and in my role as a scout leader.
I like to focus on first gaining fundamental understanding which can be developed with fun and engaging problems. Once the understanding is there I move on to helping with the details of the particular course. This may include specific exam skills, particular topics that may need extra work, or important problem solving techniques. Of course, every student is unique so I always try to tailor my approach to particular needs of each student.
