I'm a 5th year medical student at Imperial College London. I've lived in 5 countries- India, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK. I'm academically driven, enthusiastic and approachable. Having experienced the challenges of higher education first-hand, I strongly believe in the power of peer-peer tutoring and mentorship to help younger students navigate similar difficulties and achieve their aspirations.
I have been tutoring Biology at IGCSE/GCSE and IB level, and Chemistry at IGCSE/GCSE level for 3.5 years. I scored 45/45 points in IB and 11 A*s in IGCSE. I also won the subject awards for IGCSE Biology and Chemistry.
I adopt a structured and systematic approach to teaching that is aligned with the syllabus. I use PowerPoint presentations when relevant, emphasising interactivity and engagement through frequent knowledge checks and encouraging students to ask questions. I end the session with practice exam-style questions to acquaint students with examination technique. I believe in a personalised approach to teaching, adapting sessions to students' individual needs.
