Hi, my name is Aisha! I am a first year medical student at Anglia Ruskin University and aspire to be an outstanding doctor in the future. I'm an approachable and calm tutor and I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion of science with my students.
I have around 2 years of tutoring all ages from KS2 to A-Level, starting at a tuition centre where I was trained and also privately where I adapted different methods of tutoring to achieve the best results for my students.
From my two years of experience, I have learnt and adapted different methods of teaching to create a formula I believe is very effective in helping my students achieve their academic goals.
I start by going through content and explaining the concepts which allows any questions/ideas to be discussed.
I then allow the student to apply their learning with worksheets and exam questions followed by marking and going through the solutions and any gaps in their learning together. I find that this method allows the student to understand what parts are the most difficult for them and what we should spend the most time on.
The lessons will vary based on the level the student is at and also what we are preparing for. Some exam revision sessions will be more exam question and technique based and this will change according to the students needs and requests.
Of course all students are unique so I adjust my lessons accordingly to ensure different learning styles are being addressed. I also always encourage the student to give me feedback or mention when they are finding certain areas difficult.
