I am a recent Chemical Engineering graduate (MEng) from a Russell Group university. Therefore, I have extensive experience studying and applying mathematics. In recent times, I have tutored my nephews as they, like all students, have unfortunately not been able to attend school during this Covid-19 crisis. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and decided to share my knowledge with students through this platform. All teaching will be conducted over Zoom/Google hangouts
I have experience teaching younger family members recently as well as GCSE students in the past
My style is based around understanding - I will take the time to talk to the students and help them try to understand how to face the problems they encounter. I also try and give real-life examples where possible. My approach can me summed up as flexible and I provide homework in response to the session - which I ask to receive at least 24 hours prior to the next session in order to review where the student is struggling and tailor the lesson accordingly.
Having recently been through the school system, I feel like I am in an advantageous position to not only offer advice and share my own experiences, but to better prepare students for what they are about to face in the next level of their study of mathematics.
