I am currently a first-year student at Cardiff University studying for a degree in Physics with Astronomy and am due to start my second year of study in September where I will also become a student mentor in which I will be responsible for introducing new students to university life. I recently completed my A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry at Worcester Sixth Form College (despite the pandemic).
If need be I can offer some maths tutoring however this will be upon personal request.
Whilst I have not taught in schools, I was a young leader at my local Beaver group where I was teaching young people valuable life skills which they seemed to greatly appreciate. One very helpful thing is that I have sat the new style of GCSE exams (2018 onwards) which means that I know how the questions will be phrased and what will be expected.
There will be three sections which will involve going over the material and making sure that the key facts are understood, a section on some basic questions and the final bit will be on exam-like questions. I will be there the whole time for guidance in case something is unclear (I won't tell give you the answer but I will get on the right lines). I'm fairly lenient when I comes to timings so there is no issue if any bits overrun or are done early. Overall it will be laid back but still effective.
