I am an affable and laid-back professional with a First Class Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol currently working at a law firm in London. I have a passion for my specialist area around maths and physics and I have a proven and strong academic record to enable me to help students in a range of subjects with 11 A*s at GCSE and 2A*/2As at A-level, achieving full UMS in my maths A-level.
This means I will be able to help you/your child achieve your/their full academic potential, especially aiming to increase confidence in the subjects I tutor, which I know from my school years can often be the main barrier to succeeding in a subject and therefore the exams!
I have experienced teaching students of all age ranges, most recently I have tutored 1st years in my course at university on some of the more basic concepts, helping them understand the content at a crucial point in their degree. I also spent a month in Thailand in the summer of 2019 teaching primary age school children basic English and maths in classes of up to 40 people. Moreover, I have also tutored secondary and GCSE students in physics and maths during my time in college doing my A-levels and helped KS3 students in ICT while I was doing my GCSEs, so have many tutoring experiences under my belt.

I have a laid back and calm demeanour so do not put high pressure on students but like to help increase their confidence and push them to achieve more than they think they can! Specifically on teaching, I like to focus on a semantic approach, building the basic blocks up to provide strong foundations for more complex concepts!
This method is focused on tailoring and pre-planning each individual lesson to the student needs, providing my contact details to the student so that they can message me if they have a question during the week and to let me know what they would like to go through for the next lesson. Being a current university student and having recently completed my studies at school I understand what students at school and college are going through and know how to explain things in ways they will understand and the tips and tricks on how to navigate exams which can often be as key to succeeding as the actual content!
