Tutoring Experience

A tutor with past experience teaching STEM subjects including Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I have been involved in mentoring programs and have experience not just teaching, but guiding and supporting students reach their goals at a sustainable, steady pace.

Tutoring Approach

As a tutor who understands that topics in STEM subjects are often tricky to grasp and require lots of time to consolidate and review, I show empathy towards my students and really try to make them understand what exactly is happening. This helps them to understand why the concept exists and makes sense. I have found this to be the most effective method when it comes to my tutee’s ability to begin memorising, problem solving and applying information they are given to solve more complex problems they will encounter in their exams. My tutoring approach will primarily focus on learning content, consolidating the content with on the spot questions, and then using exam style questions to strengthen exam technique.
