Alex has a really good teaching style that connected well with our son Elliot, who was looking for support with his English Language GCSE resit. His commitment was excellent and we felt the sessions with Alex definitely improved Elliot’s ability in the subject which gave him more confidence in the resit exam. My son is benefitting enormously from his revision classes for GCSE English with Alex. They are going over past paper questions in detail and he is getting specific help on planning and timing his answers which he previously struggled with. He is also learning how to pick out language techniques from texts and analyse them effectively and Alex is ensuring he's meeting the relevant assessment objectives for each question. In just a few classes, he's improved significantly and is feeling much more confident about his upcoming exams.

Mr Alex has been tutoring my son for about 5 months now and so far, I can say that I am pleased with the progress made. My son Sacha is in Yr 11 and needed extra help with English for the upcoming GCSEs. Alex has been tutoring Sacha for a few weeks now and there has already been an improvement. Alex takes on board the needs of the pupil and directs very well. Not only that, progress emails are regularly forwarded which are far more in depth than the answer I receive after asking my son how the lesson went! Overall I would recommend Alex should you need an English tutor.
