Aside from being a very experienced and successful Head of Department for many years, I am the mother of two amazing young adults aged 18 and 21. My son hopes to study Chemistry at Bristol University in September 2023 and my daughter is pursuing a career in music. I live in West Sussex and I enjoy walking and swimming. I also love travelling and listening to and playing music (saxophone and piano). I am proud to be a Freemen of the City of London.
I have been teaching since 1988 both in the state and private sectors, mostly as a very successful Head of Chemistry. I am familiar with all the major examination boards and have taught most of them.
I have been doing private tuition for over 30 years and I have never lost a student. I make even very anxious students feel relaxed and calm and I am able to coax the best out of them in a very short period of time, increasing their confidence exponentially so that their grades start to improve very quickly. I have a good sense of humour and I am very patient. I encourage students to think visually and build pictures in their mind to aid understanding of the very difficult concepts in Chemistry. I also work with them on exam technique and application of knowledge.
