Hi, I'm Alex, a German teacher for adult learners!

I am originally from Hamburg in Germany and after spending some time working and studying in Australia, Prague, New Zealand and Iceland I have settled in the UK 4 years ago.

I am a positive, kind and patient person and enjoy motivating leaners and helping them reach their full potential. Having me as a teacher means you will enjoy learning German and end up with a beautiful, neutral accent.

Tutoring Experience

Before making the switch to full-time private tuition I had been working at a high school preparing students for their oral German exams for 3 years.

I hold an M.A. in cultural studies with a focus on linguistics. My Bachelor thesis was all about motivation in language learning. :)

Taking your interests, goals, strengths and abilities into account, we will soon find the techniques that work best for you! Whether you're a business professional, someone who likes to spend time in German speaking countries, or simply want to keep your brain sharp by learning a new language, I am here to help you fulfil your language potential.

Learners I teach online tend to learn especially quickly. Using a shared cloud document where we save notes and explanations, do exercises and correct homework in together in real time has proven to be both fun and efficient. I sort our notes after each lesson so it is easy for you to revise!
