Alexis is a very well organised teacher and very approachable. My 12yr old ( and rather shy) daughter is really enjoying her lessons; Alexis does a wonderful job at making her feel at ease. I can highly recommend Alexis as a teacher!!

Alexis is such an amazing teacher. She plans all lesson ahead with great care and considerations. I felt I am so lucky to find Alexis. My son really is enjoying every single lesson with Alexis. I am very grateful to Alexis and firsttutors.

I've been learning classics with Alexis for few months now and the experience has been incredible. She has never been late for a lesson and Is very quick at marking and writing feedback for my work. She has always sent the correct pages i need for the lesson a few days in advance. Alexis is very friendly and makes the lessons enjoyable and easy to understand each time. She is one of the best teacher/tutors i have ever had.
I am Libby and I have recently started doing GCSE RS with Alexis and I am absolutely loving it. Alexis is excellent at explaining the more complicated aspects of the subject while at the same time making it really fun. We were glad to contact Alexis for our son. The regular exercises sent in advance makes sure he is ready for the lessons. The lessons were prompt and take place on the computers. She is very knowledgeable about the subject and lessons are well received. The subject matter is chosen depending on the type of curriculum he is studying at the time. In short, we are pleased about the professional approach and quality of the lessons.

Sophie immediately felt at ease with Alexis, they had an instant rapport. As a pupil she interacts and responds positively to all the work Alexis sets. Alexis uses appropriate methods to bring out the best in Sophie. Sophie has improved immensely in the few weeks that Alexis has been her tutor.

As a family PA Alexis is fantastic to work with. She always anwsers emails promptly and provides lesson materials and preparatory materials readily. The feedback from parents is excellent. A very professional and engaging tutor.

My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since we hired Alexis to tutor English GCSE. My daughter is now home educated and has learnt more in the short time with Alexis than her time spent at school. Not only is her English improving but her confidence is growing to. We find Alexis to be very patient, understanding and conscientious. It’s lovely to see the improvement in my daughters work and especially to hear her say that she enjoys English. This all thanks to Alexis. I would totally recommend her as a tutor.

Alexis teaches English to my 9 year old son with learning difficulties, as well as my 12 year old daughter, who is keen to be challenged further than she is at school. For both children, Alexis prepares thoroughly with relevant, tailored content, which the children enjoy immensely.

Alexis is a great tutor and is extremely helpful. She knows the exam board well and gives clear advice on how to achieve the top marks. She has given me very good resources I wouldn't have got elsewhere and has marked essays for me - all of which have improved my knowledge immensely and given me clear directions on how to achieve my desire grade.

Alexis tutored my daughter Emily for her AS in Classical Civilisation - she was always polite, prompt and reliable. Emily achieved a grade A in her AS level.

Alexis has so far been very helpful in preparing my daughter for Latin A level. She is very friendly, engaging and supportive and obviously knows her subject well.
This includes the details and background of the set texts and the demands of the examination. She is very thorough and gives detailed feedback on set work and is prompt with marking and sending material.

Really helpful, has made a big difference from the first lesson. Always very well prepared, Alexis, goes the extra mile, sets homework and marks it with feedback before lessons. Alexis has been flexible with lesson times which has been greatly appreciated, specifically before exams. She understands exam board requirements and has helped with revision materials. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Alex was very quick to respond. She provided detail of how she could help my daughter. My daughter enjoys her lesson and Alexis provides great support and feedback.

Alexis has been teaching my daughter for a month now in RS, Politics and Sociology A levels and the teachers are commenting that they can see a difference on my daughter’s work. Alexis plans the lesson welll always sending preparation work prior to the lesson, which I find very good approach.

I’m learning loads and really enjoying the sessions so far! Thanks for making sure I’m thoroughly challenged and marking everything so quickly! The English to Latin is especially helpful for developing my grammar and the Cicero notes are super useful. The current lesson layout is working really well for me as are the essays.

Alexis is a fantastic tutor who is always willing to go the extra mile to provide students with a wealth of useful resources, whilst also helping them to develop their ability to think critically and independently. I find all of our sessions immensely useful while self-studying my Classical Civilisations A-Level. She is a very knowledgeable tutor who is always able to help me to analyse a Classical text in a novel way. Alexis has also been an invaluable support to me with with UCAS application to study Classics at university, having marked my personal statement several times very quickly, offering very clear advice. Alexis is also always punctual and responds very quickly to messages. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Classics tutor.

Alexis has been fantastic, the quality of the work provided is absolutely excellent, exactly tailored for our daughter… who has complex disabilities and is also extremely bright and loves her Latin. We are looking forward to watching her Latin develop over the coming months. Thank you.
