Spanish native speaker from Spain with extensive knowledge in the variations of the Spanish language spoken in other countries.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, a Master´s degree in Secondary Education (schools) and UK Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish with French).

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for 9 years young people and adults, from private tuition lessons, group lessons, to teaching in English schools (Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School, Torquay Boy's Grammar School, Notre Dame Catholic School for Girls, Plymouth). I have plenty of experience preparing students with their GCSE and A-Levels exam boards, including IB.
Before moving to the UK, I lived in The Netherlands for 4 years. During that time, I specialised in fast-track courses with focus on Business, since my BU students would go on a University exchange in a Latin American country. This was a fascinating time as I had to dive deeply into the variations of the Spanish language worldwide.

Tutoring Approach

The lessons will be tailored to you. Each person has their own circumstances and needs, I will accommodate and tailor our lessons so you feel comfortable and relaxed while learning.
I use original sources as much as I can (this is real resources from Spanish speaking countries), together with games, audios, role plays and activities to practise and consolidate new material while revising content often. I will show you ways to learn a lot of vocabulary quickly and to tackle those tedious verbs that seem to be endless. I enjoy teaching Spanish "the way people talk", but sometimes when preparing for an exam board, it can be a bit tricky to take that approach all the way.
