Hi

I'm Alisa, a first year undergraduate Biosciences student at the University of Manchester.
I've always had a longtime passion for tutoring and helping others achieve their potential. I started from tutoring my friends and classmates during GCSE and A levels to tutoring in a more professional environment on myTutor.

Frome here my enthusiasm for tutoring grew and I've been looking for different ways to extend my help to students who want to achieve those high grades and improve in their education.

Tutoring Experience

As stated previously,majority of my tutoring experience has come from MyTutor.com, an online tutoring platform. This involved me tutoring students online for 1 hour sessions weekly.

Tutoring Approach

Most of my tutoring has taken place online and I have found this to be one of the best forms of tutoring as I'm able to show the student documents, past paper questions and also the student is able to go over the tutoring lessons for when they need help again making it more beneficial for them.

My teaching style will change for each student depending on their different capabilities and the length of the lesson but in summary, the first half of the lesson will be doing quizzes, short tasks to see how much the student knows about the topic, then it will consist of me teaching the topic to the student and doing interactive activities with them to make it more enjoyable and easier for the student to learn and then the lesson will end with some past paper question as these are the best way to fully know how much a pupil has been able to understand the topic.
