Just to give you a little bit of background about myself, I am super outdoorsy person and love being active. Having been part of a mountaineering club for many years now, I had the opportunity to trek and explore many areas in Spain as well as other countries. Running and cycling are other of my passions, as well as dancing and Zumba classes. I particularly enjoy travelling as well as meeting up new people and learning all about their cultures and customs. Other of my hobbies are music, movies, reading books and nature and the environment among others.
I understand what it takes learning a new language having lived in a foreign country myself in Wales and England and facing all the barriers and struggles that come during the process of immersing in this amazing experience.
I am a certified Spanish language teacher from Instituto Cervantes, working online for a few years now. Fascinated with the many advantages it has compared to traditional lessons, I decided to research further into the topic and study a Master's in Education in Cadiz University. Over these years, I’ve developed materials and tools to improve your learning experience.
My experience covers several years of teaching experience in Spain and in a foreign country (UK) of Spanish and biology at high school level. Besides I have taught Spanish to adults using online language platforms and face to face.
My lessons are very interactive and dynamic (Interactivity online lessons). I ensure that my students learn in an engaging and communicative environment. Discussion ensures students learn and thrive in an atmosphere as vibrant as face-to-face lessons. Tutees (students) are encouraged to ask questions and challenge ideas, while I provide real-time feedback and guidance.
I have a structured method that involves all skills, where some lessons are focused more on speaking and listening, and some others target reading and writing at the core of the lesson, or a mix of them but also focus on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The approach is fluid and follows the Instituto Cervantes methodology, and it is adapted to the student learning abilities, current level and goals, so the student can get the most out of each lesson. I am quite flexible to adapt to any methodology that Longorx follows.
I normally discuss the student´s goals initially to design a learning path that adapts to him, which could be reviewed and adapted regularly when tracking progress.
Immersive experience with 85% of the class spoken in Spanish, Assignments and Homework.
