I am a knowledgeable and experienced Head of the Department with a BSc (Hons) in Geography and 10 years of experience teaching and supporting students with Geography at a range of levels. I have a true passion for Geography and believe in finding the balance between enjoying the subject, understanding the transferable skills geography offers and improving exam skills.
I can tutor online.
Experienced Geography teacher, Head of Department and Pastoral lead
I have taught all levels of geography at Secondary level.
I have taught the different exam boards at both GCSE and A Level.
Skilled in the communication of both content and exam skills, providing stretch and challenge for students to support their progress, and the developing students critical thinking skill in an exam context.
All students have a different path, my approach is to help students find this and then help them navigate their journey to success.
I tell my students, as long as they do their best, that is all I can ever ask but we need to find what their best looks like first.
Building confidence and belief in students is critical to my approach, as once they have confidence in themselves they will have the belief that they can succeed.
