I am an enthusiastic and creative teacher and I enjoy helping students progress and achieve more than they thought they were capable of.
Having completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics and music I went on to do a secondary mathematics pgce at Kings College London and have been teaching a range of abilities in schools from age 11-18 in recent years. I have been tutoring mathematics online for the past 6 months and am enjoying the opportunity to spend more focused time on each pupil.
With an A level and degree in Music I also have the skills to tutor music specialising in theory exams and composition aspects but I also have grade 8 in piano, singing and cello, so can help with a variety of aspects of the GCSE and A level course.
After enjoying my A level in french I decided to develop my language skills further by living and working in France as an English language assistant in a french primary school for a year during my degree. I became a fluent french speaker and gained experience of teaching English as a foreign Language.During that year I also had many private English and Maths tutees so have a wide range of experiences as a tutor and teacher.
With four years of experience teaching Maths in a secondary school I have developed a range methods, resources and approaches to help students achieve their potential. I am keen to personalise my teaching style to the needs of of each learn and to motivate them to strive for more.
