I am a final year medical student at University of Cambridge and I believe I can utilise the first-hand experience that I have to really help students to realise their goals and targets. I am especially happy to help students with the medical application process either with entrance tests or the interview process. Having done A-Level Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and having achieved A*s with the highest mark in the country for Biology, I have the appropriate skills to help students achieve the best results. I believe with the right tutelage and guidance all students can fulfil their potential.
I have tutored quite a few students one to one over the past 3 years. An example of a success story was a student who had a predicted grade of D for GCSE Biology but after 9 months of tutoring, he managed to achieve an A. I also mentored students throughout my time at school to help them manage their work and improve their grades.
My approach for students is simple yet effective and is based on what I have found most useful when speaking to other students over time. It is an initial focus on understanding the strong fundamentals whilst simultaneously starting questions early, including past papers. This is a resource that I find is under utilised and led to the greatest reward for myself and others. Finally, in the whole process it is key that I make them also understand the importance of what they are learning in the context of the real world to keep their interest in the subject.
