I’m Amraj — a specialist in psychology and social sciences with a rare combination of academic depth, engaging delivery, and transformational clarity. I hold triple degrees across Sociology and Medical Anthropology, have taught at the London School of Economics, and work professionally in executive and relational psychology.
Students and families consistently say my sessions feel energising, confidence-boosting, and intellectually alive. I bring structure, humour, and insight to every lesson — balancing high standards with a supportive, student-centred approach. My tutoring is designed not just to help you excel in exams, but to change the way you understand yourself as a learner.
I’m a former university teacher with a BSc and MPhil in Sociology from the London School of Economics, where I taught undergraduate students, and an MSc in Medical Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Amsterdam. My academic background includes formal study in Psychology and over a decade of teaching social sciences in both academic and applied settings.
I’ve co-developed an online course in business and relational psychology, and worked professionally in executive education and relational coaching. My experience spans GCSE to PhD level, and I specialise in supporting students through critical thinking, academic writing, and developing confidence in their intellectual voice — particularly those who are neurodivergent or navigating performance pressure.
My approach is clear, collaborative, and deeply tuned in to how each student learns best. I blend academic structure with psychological insight, creating sessions that are both challenging and genuinely enjoyable. I’ve supported top performers aiming for A*s, as well as students who’ve felt anxious, misunderstood, or bored by the usual classroom approach.
Every session is tailored — whether we’re tackling tricky theories, building confidence with essay writing, or finding smarter ways to revise. My aim is always the same: to help students feel capable, curious, and proud of what they can do.
