I am an engaging and supportive tutor who would love to tutor students in Chemistry and Biology. I am passionate about teaching, and helping students with their studies.

I have completed my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Exeter, achieving a First, and was the top student in my year in first year.

I am currently pursuing a masters in Biological Sciences at the University of Exeter.

I also studied at Guildford High school and achieved ten grade 9's at GCSE and three A*s in A-level Maths, Chemistry and Biology.

My recent experience in education has provided me with extensive knowledge on exam techniques, revision methods and specific question styles, which I can pass on to students in order to prepare them for exams or further study.

Tutoring Experience

I have over four years experience in tutoring, and have also volunteered at a local school, tutoring pupils in Maths. This was very rewarding and gave me valuable experience in teaching.

After studying for GCSEs, A-levels, and University exams for 4 years, and consistently achieving high grades, I have considerable knowledge of the current subject specifications and can therefore offer useful advice and practical techniques to students.

Tutoring Approach

My sessions are focused on helping students improve their academic skills and confidence. I will discuss specific areas of concern and focus on those areas accordingly.

In each session, I will explain and teach topics, followed by an opportunity to practice and ask questions. We will then review the topics covered at the end of the session and I can provide students with further homework opportunities to complete outside of the session which will help to strengthen their knowledge and understanding.

I have many resources which I will use to assist teaching, including notes, exam questions, quizzes and powerpoint slides which together provide a comprehensive approach to learning.
