Hello!

I'm Amy, and I am offering English tuition at various levels. I am set to start my Teacher Training to become an English teacher this year, so teaching is something I am committing myself to - which hopefully shows how dedicated I am to delivering education. I graduated from a great university in 2015 with a 2:1 degree in English, and also have experience in Film Studies too, so my subject knowledge is extensive. Reading, writing, and everything that comes with it is my absolute passion, and I am excited to share that with others.

Tutoring Experience

As I am currently a Teaching Assistant at a local secondary school, I have lots of experience with working with a variety of young people, and have had plenty of training on how to deliver excellent learning. I work with children across all age groups, abilities, and educational needs, which means I am very capable of accommodating every individual learning requirement. In addition to being an TA, I also provide 1-to-1 tuition through the school, which means I have lots of practice in teaching individuals.

Tutoring Approach

I genuinely believe that private tuition should be an enjoyable, rewarding, and successful experience. For a young person to be committing to private tuition after a busy day at school is very admirable, which is why I commit to making 1-to-1 sessions something to look forward to. I am keen to build a positive rapport with students, and strive for more open, honest discussion throughout the sessions. I am extremely reliable, personable, and motivated to do my best in order for students to achieve.
