We have just started with Amanda for our daughters A Level Spanish - it’s going great! She’s very clear and focused on securing grammar foundations, exactly what we are looking for.

As someone who had never studied Spanish and was learning as a mature student, I was nervous about starting to learn. Ananda put me at ease and her approach got me talking immediately as well as learning grammar. I have found Ananda to be very friendly, showed attention to detail and her added cultural insights were very interesting to me. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Ananda is a conscientious Spanish teacher. She knows her onions. She masters the skills of how to handle each child according to need. Charles who is autistic progressed from 36% in the mid-term exam when she was not teaching him; to 76% in the end of session exam when she stated teaching him. It is amazing that Charles is keen about learning Spanish . He is continuing this long holiday ; thanks be to God it is online . We are grateful to Ananda. God bless you.

My son has been having a weekly lesson with Ananda for a few weeks now. The change is significant. He has gone from disliking Spanish to now being very motivated to learn it. He really enjoys his lessons with Ananda and says he has learned more in her lessons over the last few weeks than he has in 2 years at school. He has even asked me for a second lesson -- he tells me she makes the lessons very engaging and makes spanish easy to learn - based on his experience I would strongly recommend Ananda as a tutor.

My daughter is being tutored by Ananda and seems to be making good progress, she certainly feels more confident which is half the battle. So yes, I’d certainly recommend Ananda.

Ananda is an extremely “effective a likeable tutor and created a good friendship” with my child. Has my child says “Ananda has given her the opportunity to continuously converse with her school Spanish teacher, asking the teacher questions and providing her with lengthy answers. Instead of school Spanish which you barely understand, answers are short, and the entire sentence is broken. She can converse with a Spanish person using different tenses and her expanded vocabulary. The honour was when she was able to fully converse with a Spanish visitor at the school conference, receiving great comments from the individual and her teacher being surprised”.

My child reading and writing had also improved, where she has even asked me to purchase for her a Spanish novel (Don Quixote). Ananda technique is to take you back to the foundation for you to master, so that progression is easier and more understood. Honesty is the forefront of Ananda teaching, and our daughter had drastically improved from a 4 in the 8 months, and I am sure that she would have received that grade 7 Ananda had predicted, because she was not that far away from her target grade in the mocks.

Therefore, we highly recommend that you choose Ananda for these reasons. Our child has chosen not to do languages for A levels but has requested that she stays with Ananda for the foreseeable future, so that she can continue indulging herself and eventually being a competent Spanish speaker.

Ananda is an excellent teacher.

I can thoroughly recommend Ananda as a language teacher. She has done a superb job with our 11-year-old daughter Amber. Ananda was very patient with her and kept her lessons interesting with Amber having a short attention span, it was sometimes not easy. Ambers Spanish has improved greatly under Anandas first-class tuition.

After my first year at university receiving a 2:1 I wanted to improve my Spanish for second year and found Ananda on First Tutors. I cannot recommend her services enough! She personalised the lessons to my specific needs, particularly focusing on oral practice which I found the most challenging (scoring 66% in my first year). She not only improved my level of Spanish, but also increased my confidence with the language. Thanks to all her help and expertise I got a 1st in Spanish, scoring 74% in the oral exam and 75% in the written paper!

I am very fortunate to have found Ananda as a Spanish tutor. I have found her first classes very enjoyable because she is expert in Spanish language, but besides that Ananda also brings a very fun, energetic, and organized lesson plan every day.

I think you have been great so far! Working with you has given me greater confidence with my speaking and I feel I have improved a lot in a short space of time!

Ananda has taught two of my daughters and is an outstanding teacher. She helped my eldest daughter achieve an A* in her iGCSE and hopefully will do the same with my middle daughter.

She has a lovely approach - very friendly, is easy to relate to and is thorough in her teaching. My middle daughter has already sat her iGCSE oral exam and said she felt very prepared by Ananda.
