I am a well-rounded and knowledgeable tutor, who has worked with young people in a teaching capacity and as a tutor for 15 years. I have a rapport building approach and will try and inject enthusiasm into every session. I am a trained therapist and can additionally support students through the difficult exam stresses and factor these in too.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for 15 years in various schools and colleges and have taught an array of subjects with passion and dedication, achieving excellent results in the institutions in which I've worked. These are some of the subjects I have taught over the years:
-History A Level and GCSE
-Politics A Level
-Citizenship GCSE
-Sociology GCSE and A Level
-Exam board marker for OCR in the past
-Level 5 trained Counsellor

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach:
-Discussion led initially, with engagement to deepen knowledge of students on a given topic and discover passions and wider A03 understanding.
-I will create and adapt my resources around you as a tutee, including mind mapping, flash cards, tools like Nearpod and Quiz resources.
-Person-centred - When I know what suits a student, I will adapt around them and find the best study method.
-Practise essays, will be marked weekly for you and set to do between sessions, with extensive feedback given on improvement.
-Working with literacy skills and improvements on the sophistication of writing.
-Working with a friendly and compassionate style of teaching, to engender a sense of confidence, which is at the centre of how I've taught for the past 15 years.
