My granddaughter had her first lesson with Andrew on Wednesday and she found him amazing
The way he explained things made it very easy for her to understand
I’m so glad we found him hopefully she is on her way to a pass in her A level maths exam

My daughter (14) has been attending weekly sessions with Andrew for a couple of months. She has commented that Andrew is very patient and explains concepts clearly. She willingly attends sessions (a very positive sign from a strong-willed teen) and says she does now feel more confident at maths. To my surprise she recently did some equations for ‘fun’ which I didn’t think she would ever do! My daughter and I both recommend Andrew.

My daughter is doing her GCSE's next year and is struggling a bit with Maths. We tried a different tutor from this site who was lovely but wasn't familiar with the curriculum and was looking for my daughter to lead the session rather than the other way around. It didn't help that she had **E-mail Address Removed**a subject area.
Luckily, we came across Andrew - who happens to live a couple of streets away from us.
It's early days but I'm very happy with him so far - and more importantly, my daughter is happy too.
He's calm, measured, encouraging and thorough. He asks my daughter how she has been taught that area then offers some other ways of doing it to see whether they are easier to understand.
Gorgeous, happy and good natured dog too. Always a hit with us!

I contacted Andrew via First Tutors whilst looking for a maths tutor for my son who needed some additional support with A level Maths. The existing reviews were a real help in selecting a suitable tutor.
It was very easy to organise and arrange. My son had lessons with Andrew for approx 3 months- he was always very prepared and organised and very open to tailoring the sessions to my son's needs. He was a massive help, very professional and formed an excellent working relationship with my son. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone- very impressed.

Andrew is a very engaging tutor. He was aware of the type of content my daughter needed to cover for GCSE's and quickly assessed where she needed help. My daughter found him very easy to work with and we can definitely recommend him highly. He was also very easy to communicate with and arranged dates for our sessions quickly and efficiently.

Andrew has helped my son’s understanding of A level maths. He has been friendly, helpful and flexible, in particular supporting him during school holidays.

Our son has had both online and in person sessions with Andrew. He has found Andrew very approachable. The sessions have been well planned, relevent and delivered in a calm manner. Our son has gained understanding and had an increase in confidence. Would recommend.

It has been a pleasure dealing with Andrew and I have been impressed with his intuitive and highly professional approach to his classes with my son and daughter. Not only has he succeeded in identifying and sorting out the issues that were bothering my son in the first place, he has also stretched and stimulated his interest in other areas of the subject

Andrew communicates clearly and promptly and is knowledgable, helpful and supportive. He provides allows students to link concepts to embed understanding, he is able to break down concepts into manageable chunks and has improved both by daughters confidence and attainment. Most of all she enjoyed the sessions. She is now working on the further maths paper! I would defiantly recommend Andrew.

My 16 year old daughter has been tutored by Andrew for a few weeks and even after the first lesson, she said that he had helped her to do better on a maths test the following day. We chose him for his experience and we go to his home. He has a lovely manner and we are all very happy with the tutoring.

Andrew is very friendly he responded quickly and effortlessly. Got straight to work on areas my son wanted to improve on. Explains things in a way my son understand. Very pleased with Andrew.

Thanks to Andrew for his ongoing help with Luke to improve his standard in maths, currently working towards his GCSE's in the next 18-24months. Luke finds him very friendly, good feedback around progress, and has shown to be flexible when Luke has had to reschedule at short notice. Would recommend without hesitation
