Anna

Hi, I’m Anna, a first year student at UCL Medical School.

I tutor GCSE and A Level Biology and French, with the maths skills required in Biology being supported by my A Level in Maths.
I also support students with applications to Medicine. I prepare students for the UCAT and BMAT exams, advise them in the writing of their personal statement, prepare them for interviews and direct them towards wider reading resources.

I have tutored a range of ages from Year 7 to Year 13. Whether its focusing on revision techniques, exam techniques, or developing an better understanding of key concepts, I will always adapt to each student’s needs, pace and learning style.

At GCSE I have six grade 9s and 4 grade 8s. At A Level I achieved A* in Biology, Chemistry and French and A in Maths.

I really enjoy helping students to do their best using my a variety of resources, personal notes and my more recent experience completing A Levels.

UCAT score - 2810 (90th percentile)
BMAT score - 4.6, 4.8, 3.0A

I have done two medical taster days at hospitals and work experience at Imperial College Surgery and Cancer Research, so can help students find work experience and give them guidance for their application.
I was interviewed for Medicine by Cambridge, UCL and King’’s College London, receiving offers from UCL and King’’s.

Tutoring Approach

I prepare before each session based on what the student would like to cover. I use my own notes, revision guides, past exam papers and online resources and share these with the student. I will help them to use a variety of revision and memorisation techniques, help them with past paper questions, French essay writing, etc, but will ultimately adapt to the learning style of the student. I send tasks, revision resources and summary notes to the student after each session for them to continue their independent learning.
