I specialise in helping international postgraduate students pass their IELTS, write their Masters or PhD theses, practice delivering academic papers/presentations, and improve their confidence in their conversational English Speaking skills. I can go through IELTS sample test papers with you, or help proof read your academic thesis, or practice a presentation in preparation for a conference.

Tutoring Experience

I have a CELTA and a PhD in English Literature. I have delivered ESOL classes to adult learners, as well as personal tutoring, and have taught seminars in English Literature at the University of Sheffield. I was Activities Coordinator at the English Language Teaching Centre for four years, so have experience of socialising with a broad range of people and can help you integrate into the university, and the wider city.
