Hi! I’m a postgraduate tutor with a Master’s degree in the Psychology of Mental Health. Currently, I’m training to become a qualified hypnotherapist (January 2026) and a registered counsellor (2027). I’m passionate about making psychology accessible, engaging, and relevant to everyday life. My background combines academic study with hands-on experience in mental health, wellbeing, and creating inclusive environments.
I have a diverse background in support and mental health, with extensive experience in roles such as support worker, wellbeing coordinator, and project manager for an advocacy charity. In my current role, I design accessible resources and create inclusive spaces to help individuals, particularly those with learning disabilities, develop essential skills and advocate for themselves. I’m experienced in adapting materials, simplifying complex information, and promoting inclusive participation - skills that are invaluable in tutoring students with varying needs.
Alongside this practical experience, I have a strong academic foundation in a range of psychological subfields, including:
Abnormal Psychology
Cognitive Psychology
Developmental Psychology
Social Psychology
Mental Health & Wellbeing
Neurodiversity and Inclusive Practice
Qualitative Research Methods & Statistics (including data interpretation, thematic analysis, and survey-based research)
My approach is person-centred, meaning I tailor each session to meet your individual needs. We’ll begin by discussing your learning style, goals, and any specific areas you'd like to focus on. Together, we’ll create a personalised study plan for our sessions and for your independent study between sessions.
I strive to create a calm, encouraging environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and building your confidence. Whether you’re preparing for exams or learning out of personal interest, my role is to support and guide you with flexibility, empathy, and clarity.
