Hello,
My name is Annabel and I am a qualified Primary School Teacher. As tutor, I am gentle and encouraging - ensuring your child's needs are always the focus.

I have recently moved to Edinburgh, from Newcastle so during my spare time I enjoy horse riding, visiting food markets and exploring new places!

I have an enhanced DBS check and my references are also available.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 5 years experience working with children between 3-11 years old so have a strong understanding of both the Key Stage 1 and 2 National Curriculum. I have a lot of previous experience tutoring and my priority is always to tailor the work to fit the child's individual needs.

Tutoring Approach

I have a structured but non-pressured approach where the main goal is for the learner to grow in confidence and feel good about themselves. Through acknowledging every little success my students soon begin to trust that it is safe to risk mistakes and can move confidently into unfamiliar territory.

I welcome students of all abilities, motivation levels and confidence levels. I can adapt my teaching methods to match the learning style and needs of your child and am able to provide an engaging atmosphere for learning, using a range of activities to motivate your child, so that they can get the most out of their one-to-one sessions with me.
