Home Tuition for Maths and English in Winchelsea

Hi! I'm Annabelle, an FY2 junior doctor, and I have a BA (Hons) in Medical Sciences, and BM BCh in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Oxford. I love my field of work because it means interacting with a wide range of people, from all over the country, and all different walks of life, and learning every day! I’ve enjoyed informally tutoring for 8 years, now. I like to work with students at their own speed, starting from basics, so as to get a full understanding of each subject, so as to be prepared for any exam question thrown at them! I also think it's important to enjoy the learning process, so I try to work with students to work out how they learn and engage best. I achieved 13A* grades at GCSE, and 3A* and 2A grades at A level.

Tutoring Experience

I have 8 years experience teaching students from KS2 - A level, and teaching Medical Students as a Resident Doctor in the NHS. I have taught almost 4000 lessons on MyTutor alone, with almost 300 5* reviews.

Tutoring Approach

My session structure will be tailored to each student. I like to work with students at their own speed, starting from basics, so as to get a full understanding of each subject, so as to be prepared for any exam question thrown at them! I also think it's important to enjoy the learning process, so I try to work with students to work out how they learn and engage best. I try to keep the atmosphere of sessions relaxed and fun, more like a conversation than a class, so students are not afraid to ask questions, and can engage best. I measure progress in the form of content/ skills learned from the previous lesson, which means it's okay to make mistakes!
