Hello and thank you for looking at my profile! I am a passionate, experienced and approachable educator, offering high quality tutoring from year 7-11.

I am currently at full capacity but have availability for Saturday group tuition 11am (max 3 students) year 11 grade 3-5 (aiming for at least 1 grade improvement ) studying AQA and doing ACC, Macbeth, AIC and conflict anthology. Resits for November welcome#/k#

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching as a secondary teacher for 10 years. In that time, i have worked in 2 local, outstanding secondary schools in the area and am at a high achieving boys school.

Prior to achieving a distinction for my PGCE, I had worked in education. My experience within English grammar is extensive. This is due to working with foreign students (11 years)but also within the primary sector(2 years) This has allowed me to support and stretch myself and the students I work with.

I have worked with many students, one to one and in groups online and in person.

Whether you need intensive practise one particular skill or not reaching your potential, I will do my best.

I am now offering group sessions (max of 3 in a group based on board and text choices)

Tutoring Approach

A connection is really important, for both parties! It is imperative to have an end goal. The sessions I plan are effective, targeted and meaningful. I set homework so that the lesson is spent developing skills and not reading or writing large amounts! As a parent, I understand the importance of choosing the right tutor; but you've already done a superb job by clicking on my profile! Long term discount considered (eg over a GCSE course.) Available over holidays too!
