Teaching makes me happy. I am a friendly, enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard working person who gives total commitment to everything I undertake. I have excellent communication skills. I like to teach the basics and build a secure foundation. This will secure a good understanding when tackling more difficult subjects. I have taught in international schools and I am very passionate about the whole learning and teaching experience. I enjoy working with children to reach for their dreams through their education.
I have a deep affection for children, desiring nothing more than to witness their triumphs. As a proud mother to two daughters I try to help them achieve their best which brings me immense happiness. This same delight echoes in my work with students; witnessing their progress is an unparalleled reward that shapes who I am. Being a teacher and tutor is my calling, fuelled by the unmatched joy of nurturing others' development.
I have 26 years of teaching experience in the British curriculum. I teach primary and secondary students. I will motivate and stimulate my children by encouraging their learning through my experience. I encourage creativity and higher-order thinking in a way that increases the students performance. In approximately 2020, I shifted to Primary education. Since then, I've engaged with over thirty schools, taking on permanent positions, working as a supply teacher, and venturing into the international education circuit. Experiencing diverse teaching methodologies across these settings has allowed me to assimilate the finest practices, enriching and shaping my own teaching approach.
My approach to tutoring is that I tailor my tuition to the needs of the student. I will tutor in my own home. I will vary my style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams. Many of my students have entered King Edward Grammar School and Newhall. I teach 11+ and entrance exams for private schools.
Please Note: I tutor Primary from Year 1. I don't tutor Reception and SEN pupils.
