Anthony

A highly experienced teacher of business and economics, I have taught in the UK and overseas in private and state education.

I am curious about the world and how we make it work (or not) and still love learning myself.

I am a full-time teacher and am looking for up to two students to support through their GCSE/A-Level or BTEC Nationals - work commitments limit my numbers.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a classroom teacher for nearly 20 years! Prior to teaching I worked in sales, marketing for publishing and exhibition businesses, I even ran my own business which still gives me great experiences to bring into my teaching.

I currently teach GCSE and A-Level business, GCSE and A-Level economics, as well as BTEC Tech Award in enterprise and BTEC National in business. I have also taught IGCSE business and economics.

I have been Head of Department, Head of Faculty and even Assistant Headteacher in previous roles and currently work with quality assurance in the delivery of BTECs in my current school.

The students I have taught have given me fantastic experience of making the curriculum accessible for a range of requirements, I have taught, mentored and tutored students with a wide variety of needs.

Tutoring Approach

I always work with each student on what they require, tailoring sessions to overcome the students’ barriers, I work with exam boards and regularly maintain my own CPD to ensure advice on content and technique for exams is current and my students are guided appropriately.
