Antonio

I am Antonio Celotto, a London-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and filmmaker with Italian roots that often influence the classical guitar riffs in my compositions. My versatile style includes elements from rock, jazz, flamenco, and cinematic orchestration. I financed my Art studies in Paris through the sales of my successful jazz/electronic fusion project, Aiguille (Italy, 2006). My sound is acoustically rich and rhythmic, infused with fast arpeggios, and it often takes listeners on a journey through modulations.

I specialize in blending electronic sounds with orchestral music to create diverse tracks that resonate as familiar.

My dynamic style has been showcased at venues like Ronnie Scott, the O2 Islington, and SoFar Sounds through projects such as Flying Tailor, Background Telly, and Nàca. I also compose meditation and ambient music, focusing on the cymatics and physics of sound (Removed Removed

Tutoring Experience

I am a music composer and performer, I studied 8 years Classic Music in Italy (conservatory 'da esterno') and then 6-7 years of Jazz theory. I attended masterclasses by Michel Camillo, Stefano Bollani, Hernacio Hernandez, Berklee summer courses and taught guitar in Italy since I was 16. Having a background in Cinema I also compose for indie films. I produced my first album in Italy in 2003 (Aiguille, Portrait) distributing 20k copies then I have been the co-creator of the Band "Flying Tailor", and now teaching in London part time, in a few different schools and working on the band project. I am currently studying Music Composition and completing an album for guitar ensemble and a multimedia immersive project with 18 orchestra elements. Removed

Tutoring Approach

Coming from the Italian-Spanish classical music background, I will begin with teaching proper finger-style (classic position) and pickup style in order to be then versatile on any kind of guitar. I use an exercise book which covers every technique (Rest-stroke, arpeggios, legatos, triads, etc), which also helps basic reading knowledge. Theory wise, I can then adapt the program to what the student requires, going towards jazz (modal music, keyboard visualisation, ear training, improvisation) or we can proceed towards a more classical program (scales, arpeggios and music reading/writing). We can discuss about composition, working with other instruments, guitar duets, music production, electronic music, studio recording, etc. If the student wants to learn just pop/rock guitar, we can go straight to learning chords (basic voicing to more interesting ones) and performing popular tunes with the right hands/body position.
