Hi, I'm a tutor who is currently taking students for online tutorials only. I graduated from Oxford University in 2016, where I read History and French and I also have a Masters in History of Design. I would love to share my enthusiasm for languages and history with students, whilst teaching essential study and exam techniques and guiding students on their path to academic success.
I am keen to help students overcome the challenges that they face in their learning through a measured, organised and friendly approach. I will plan lessons according to the student’s interests and individual learning style.
I also offer guidance in the application process for Oxbridge universities (including HAT and MLAT tests): personal statements, entrance exams, interview practise.
I am proud to have helped students in the UK, France and Argentina progress and achieve their goals. My joint-school BA (in languages, literature and history) and extensive tutoring experience has set me up with a unique specialism in teaching languages and History - whether it be English Literature A Level, History GCSE or English as a Foreign Language.
2020 - 2021: I worked as a voluntary English as a Foreign Language tutor for online group classes for the Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organisation in London. The classes were very informal, mixed-level and fun!
2019 - 2020: I worked as an English tutor at INPREI English School in Buenos Aires where I taught the IELTS in group classes to enthusiastic students age 14 - 16. We especially worked on forming arguments, essay-writing and oral debates. All students gained confidence in building strong arguments and expressing their opinions.
2016 - 2019: I worked as a freelance tutor in London, teaching English Language, English Literature, French and History to GCSE and A-Level students and also teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults. I created individual lesson plans for each student depending on their exam board, learning style, ability and aims. I am pleased that all students attained their target grade or higher.
2014 – 2015: I worked as a tutor for Cours Toqueville in Paris, teaching students one-to-one and in small groups, aged 14 - 24 yrs. I helped to build their confidence in and their grasp of English as a foreign language whilst preparing them for University Entrance exams, English language exams, literature exams, the IB and providing extra support alongside their English lessons at university.
I have a patient, friendly approach and try to build an atmosphere where the student feels comfortable to share their ideas and make mistakes. Above all, I provide a tailored programme where the student’s needs are met, boosting their confidence and resulting in the student achieving their goals and fostering a genuine passion for their subject.
I believe it is my responsibility to create interesting, fun and useful lessons whilst teaching rigorous exam technique and efficient study skills.
