I am a recent medicine graduate soon to start work as a junior doctor. I have completed 2 degrees, one in biochemistry and one in medicine, both of which I achieved high marks. I have always enjoyed and had a passion for Maths. I enjoy the problem soling nature of Maths as well as the simplicity of Maths once concepts are understood
I have a strong background in education and have tutoring experience with friends and family
My approach to tutoring would involve creating a plan with the student beforehand to tailor my sessions to their needs. I would start lessons by recapping and testing knowledge from the previous session; this active re-call and spaced repetition would consolidate learning. My sessions would be interactive and engaging as I believe Maths is best learnt by practice from students themselves. Regular practice of main concepts is key in doing well in Maths - something which I would implement into my sessions. Setting goals or further sessions would also be useful to help students stay focused and motivated in achieving their goals
