I am currently at the University of Warwick in my first year studying Spanish and Economics. However, I love helping other students achieve excellent grades in my free time outside of university with their Maths and Spanish. Having very recently achieved A stars in my subjects, I feel I can definitely help students who are currently doing their exams as I have been in their spot before, especially with my more enjoyable manner of teaching.

Tutoring Experience

I received an A* at GCSE level for Spanish and Maths.
I also received an A* at A level.
I received 100% in my Speaking A level exam and have tutored GCSE students for 2 years. One of my students was initially at a grade 5 (C grade equivalent). However, after a few lessons with myself, he fulfilled his potential, receiving an A star, like my other 5 students - I can teach students of all abilities, so it definitely is not an issue if you have never spoken a word of Spanish before. As someone who has recently completed GCSE and A level exams, I feel that am very much aware of what students want and need in order to fulfil their potential. My enjoyment and passion for Spanish is indicated through my decision to carry it on at university level and I will do everything I can to help the student enjoy the language more through my teaching methods.

Tutoring Approach

Since Spanish GCSE exams are based on the 4 main components: reading, writing, listening and speaking, these will be the main areas that we target, depending on the student's weaknesses.
General vocabulary and fundamentals such as verb conjugation and the key tenses will also be tested and developed as this is key to language progression. Practising these areas will make all 4 components of your exam much easier :) After our first session, I will have a good idea of what we need more work on and what the student's strengths are.
