We feel incredibly let down. Our daughter is five weeks away from an exam when the tutor decided to go on holiday for two weeks without telling us.
To lose two weeks this close to the exam caused our daughter some distress, now we have to start again…

My dad has recently passed away and I am the executor of my dads will. I had to go urgently abroad as the lawyer of his estate had called me last minute. This was not a holiday and the trip was not pre- planned or I would not have accepted the tutee request. I did inform the tutee parents of my sudden trip and they agreed with online sessions while I was abroad.

I apologised for the inconvenience and even tried to arrange a zoom session but due to wifi issues I couldn’t login in all day.

Once again I can only apologise.

My son did two sessions with her and loved going.
It is a shame that we can’t do the day we agreed on anymore and that is due to miscalculation my side.

Not long enough to be able to give any. We have only had:

2h group session
1h 1-2-1
2hr group session(the start of this situation!)?

And now have just discovered that I won't be able to send this, without rating, will have to be a box ticking exercise.

It was a pleasure to teach Tivana, the child is very bright and has a lot of potential. It is unfortunate that I had to stop the sessions.

In the last session there was some misunderstanding over whether I was giving a group session or one to one to Tivana. As I was under the impression that the parent wanted as many hours as possible, I proceeded with the one to one session. This followed with a long whatsapp audio message by the parent of how I should be teaching. Hence I decided to stop teaching the child as so far I have only received good feedback for my teaching skills.

I felt offended that the parent was undermining my work. The whatsapp message was patronising so I decided to end the tuition with this child. I do not tolerate this type of behaviour from the parents.

It is sad that I have to explain this but it's important to be transparent about this miscommunication to other parents. It could have been solved with one phone call but the parent resorted to a long whatsapp message which was deeply offensive.

Barjis is patient and very clued up on all aspects of the curriculumn. My son is relaxed with her and is enjoying his lessons so much that he can't wait to go back for his next lesson. We are so happy to have found Barjis and feel confident our son will make great progress with her help. Thank you!

Barjis is a very good tutor, my daughter really liked her and she helped her alot. My daughter passed the 7+ entrance exam and got in to the private school of her choice. I will be using he services again for the 11+ exams

Barjis is a wonderful tutor and my 9 year old daughter looks forward to her sessions each week. Barjis genuinely cares about her students and wants them to achieve their full potential. We can already see our daughter’s tutor is making a big difference to her education.
