I am an Academic Psychologist offering one-to-one Academic Coaching sessions. The aim of these sessions is to provide bespoke tailored support to students to ultimately overcome their anxieties and boost academic performance. I have over ten years experience with education and have tutored/coached online for eight years.
As a social and developmental cyber psychologist, I am interested in the social development of children, adolescents and young people within a digital age. With over ten years of teaching experience, I am also interested in how this development occurs within an educational context. Drawing upon both qualitative and quantitative research methods, I explore the relationship between online communication, mental health and wellbeing. I am passionate about applying my findings within an educational context. I also lead and consult on student events and initiatives within a higher education context with a particular focus upon student wellbeing and future employability.
I have over ten years of teaching experience within primary, secondary and higher education settings. I am currently a Teaching Fellow within the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, Co-Director of the Environment Communication Health: Online-Offline (ECHO-O) Lab, External Engagement and Outreach Lead of the Teaching in Higher Education, Supporting and Inspiring Students (THESIS) group, and committee member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Developmental Psychology Division.
Through online one-to-one sessions we will work through your barriers to academic success. We will work on your academic confidence and self-esteem as well as working together on revision techniques, study approach and your study habits.
