I believe everybody can achieve in English and I aim to make my students feel as comfortable and confident as possible. They can achieve their best in my lessons, which I am to make as enjoyable and stimulating as possible.
Through careful and thoughtful assessment I can identify weak areas and design a tailored programme which will ensure steady and real progress. Student confidence is paramount at every stage of this process and I work hard to motivate and inspire students so they really believe they can achieve.
I use scaffolding sensitively as my main aim is to enable students to approach English Literature and Language independently, this is especially crucial so that my tutoring accentuates their ability in class.
I have a back catalog of teaching resources that I have built up over fifteen years teaching which I have personally cherry picked and edited to ensure they have maximum value to my students, these include past papers and unique exam questions I have developed. I have also developed resources as part of the research project I undertook for my Chartered Teacher Qualification.
