My name is Becky and I currently teach dyslexic students of all ages. I can carry out diagnostic assessments for dyslexia if required. I tutor A Level Psychology privately and am an experienced examiner for the exam board AQA.
Tutoring Experience
I have been teaching for 28 years and have taught students from the age of 6 to 76. Most of my experience has involved working with small groups of students or tutoring on a 1:1 basis. I have experience working with students who are high achievers and students who have struggled in mainstream schools. I teach literacy skills, study skills and Psychology and have been an examiner for AS psychology for over 15 years.
Tutoring Approach
My aim is to encourage a love of learning and build confidence in students who might otherwise have given up. I strive to instil an enjoyment in reading, in writing and in psychology as an academic discipline. My approach is interactive and student centred; it is crucial that students have achievable goals if they are to experience success.
