Communication with Benjamin was excellent up until I had booked him and paid my fee… He became increasingly slow to respond, missed our first meeting due to illness and then said he was unable to proceed with tutoring my son. I do appreciate that sometimes life happens and plans change so I’d like to give Benjamin the benefit of the doubt but first tutors didn’t refund my fee and so I can’t recommend either the tutor or the website.

Ben is very relatable and friendly which made learning vey easy and enjoyable for my son. His English grades were only average before Ben started teaching him.
By the end of the year his grades all went to the top.
My son also, now enjoys English as Ben helped to change his persecution.

We really recommend him.

Ben has been brilliant with our boys. He makes learning fun and has helped improve their academic skills enormously.

Our son is having weekly video link sessions with Ben and he looks forward to them. Ben has really engaged and focussed him (which has been hard previously). He finds out what our son needs to become more secure in so far as 11+ content is concerned and generally improves his overall learning and understanding of Y5/6 work with just the right amount of challenge. I can see our son feeling proud of what he achieves with Ben.

Very friendly and boys enjoy his visits which is a big plus !

We chose Ben to tutor one of our Spanish employees who needed to improve his English skills. So far it has gone really smoothly and couldn’t be more pleased. It is a perfect solution because even when our employee returns to his job in Spain he can continue with his lessons.

Ben has got the confidence back in my daughter and she really enjoys doing his lessons ,always on time

Ben helped our daughter to pass her school entrance exam, he was well organised and focused on the areas in which our daughter was less confident. I would definitely recommend Ben and hope to use his services again in the future for our youngest child.

Our son did not work with Ben for long, less than a term, but we were really happy with the tuition provided. We asked Ben to help as we wanted our son to sit an exam for private school, which was passed successfully.
Our son really liked Ben and actually looked forwards to his lessons ! Ben was a great teacher, very personable provided clear feedback, and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

Our son (taking Functional Skills Level 2 in English) feels he's learning so much more as Ben is spending time to explain all aspects of the course that he's unsure about until he fully understands what's required. Ben's been very pro-active in working with our son's college tutor to ensure the right parts of the course are covered at the right time. It certainly seems to us that our son is becoming more confident in his understanding of English.

Ben came to us at short notice and my daughter has already made significant progress.

Ben is friendly and professional. He has gradually built the confidence in my 10 year old son and helped him improve his maths and english. Ben has also set targeted tests by timing within set time in order to speed up and complete the answers. Ben always arrives in time and approachable.

Ben has been tutoring my 13 year old daughter in Maths, Science and English to help her gain confidence and understand the work set. He is very good- friendly, approachable, patient and positive. I highly recommend him as a tutor as he listens to my daughter and encourages her at the same time as explaining what she needs help with. Excellent tutor.

Ben has recently started teaching our son Harrison, so far we have been pleased with the progress that Harrison is making with his Maths.
The lessons with Ben are structured in line with Harrison's current maths schedule that he is studying at school. In fact Ben has really gone over and above what we expected by liaising with Harrison's school to obtain his resent maths test, this has enabled Ben to highlight areas of concern with Harrison of which he is now addressing.
I would definitely recommend Ben to anyone considering having extra maths lessons, he is patient, pleasant, professional but very approachable.

Ben has really helped boost Alfie's confidence by building a great rapport with him. He carefully selects work to boost areas of weakness as requested and Alfie seems to be making good improvements as a direct result. Ben is always punctual and prepared for each session and Alfie really looks forward to his lessons.

My son was achieving lower than average grades at the start of year 6, but Ben worked with him on his Maths and English skills and he achieved exceeding in all of his end of year SATs papers.
I highly recommend Ben. He made lessons fun and his teaching techniques ensured my son looked forward to his tutor lessons and enjoyed learning. He thought that Ben was the best teacher that he had ever had.

Hi Ben, Isaac has really enjoyed his sessions so far. He is looking forward to getting back into his work after the summer holidays. We are really hoping he has a good academic year to set him up well for Year 6 and SATS.

We have found Ben to be professional, reliable, approachable and friendly but above all our son likes him and we are seeing steady progress from a child who is reluctant to read and write. Ben overcame many of our sons 'excuses' much quicker than we anticipated. Overall very pleased.

We have always found Ben to be polite,friendly and easy to talk to.He has only been teaching our son KS3 English for a few weeks now but our son already feels that he is benefiting from his lessons,that they fit a lot into the hour and that the time passes quickly.He is happy to ask questions if he doesn't understand as he is at ease in his company and is actually enjoying the lessons.

Ben has been providing tutoring for my daughter since January this year. Ben is Friendly, professional and is easy to approach with regards to my daughters needs. Ben has a wealth of experience in Key stage two SATs tuition and entrance exam tuition. Ben is open to communication with primary school teachers and encourages links between home and primary School in order to complete the gaps that your child may have in their learning. My son has been working with Ben for the last 4 months. Ben has provided a structured, organised and stable environment for him to learn not only exam techniques and the types of questions expected in entrance exams/SATS/11+, but he has also addressed areas of weakness in his knowledge.

Ben provides a very calm learning environment where my son doesn't worry about getting things wrong and asking questions to rectify his understanding. However, he does provide the drive to make the sessions challenging and push the limits.

I recommend Ben to all parents who's children need extra support, my son has really improved since working with him.

Ben has been teaching my daughter Eleanor for a few months now and there has been definate progress as she was really struggling with her maths. She also gets on well with Ben and seems to really enjoy his classes, she never complains when it's lesson time! Ben has proved himself to be a professional, friendly and knowledgable tutor. Ben has been supporting my 8 year old daughter with maths for a few weeks now and I couldn't be happier with how things are going. My son left year 5 on a level 3b in literacy (just below national average). Following approximately 8 sessions with Ben, he is now on a 4b!! Wow!

My son was very reluctant when I suggested a private tutor. However, Ben took time to get to know him, his interests/hobbies, likes and dislikes and has used this information creatively in the sessions.

Ben uses a variety of methods including clear cue cards so that my son knows specifically what he needs to do/keeps him focussed. Ben discusses with me at the end of each session what they have done in the session and why. Ben also has a warm and friendly manner and it is evident that he is conscientious. As a result my son really enjoys Ben teaching him and this has a really clear effect on his learning in school.

Ben worked for us for 2 weeks over the summer for 2 hours each day with a small group of year 6 pupils transitioning in to year 7. All Ben's sessions were planned extremely well and the children he taught were engaged in fun, interactive and progressive sessions. Ben was fantastic to work with, polite, professional and inspiring. We would definitely work with Ben again.

We are only two weeks into maths tutoring for my 11 year old son Oliver. Ben has so far been professional and reliable and has communicated promptly with me both in terms of arrangements for and feedback from the sessions. Oliver enjoys his sessions with Ben and feels that he can ask him questions when he needs further help. He is friendly and approachable which Oliver appreciates but keeps him working with a variety of maths tasks for the hour (which I appreciate!). A good tutor so far who I'd recommend to others.

Friendly, helpful & arrives on time. Prepared a strategy plan prior to the first session to address the troublesome areas and seems to be making progress after just a couple of sessions.

It is early days however Ben has connected extremely well with our daughter and by exploring her interests is encouraging her to become more confident with her writting skill.
