I am a 4th year medicine student studying at the University of Cambridge after having graduated with a natural sciences degree last year. I enjoy the sciences and the challenges they bring and hope that I can inspire the same love of science in any prospective students, but I know for many science is a reluctant necessity.
Online English, biology and maths tutoring: 100+ hours of online lessons delivered via zoom. Designing and implementing fun, innovative lesson plans tailored to the needs of students of varying ages from 6-18 years old with content ranging from basic English to BMAT/NATSCI entry exam preparation, A-level exam tutoring and medical interview training.
English teaching with CYSC: Taught English to classes of 15 students for the duration of a 2-week summer camp with Cambridge Youth Summer Camps (CYSC) in Kunming China. Designed and executed a variety of creative and diverse lesson plans encompassing biology, history, anthropology and drama. Involvement in planning and co-ordinating a range of fun and educational activities for over 150 students.
GCSE maths tutoring: Privately tutored GSCE maths in a one-on-one environment using self-designed and tailored lessons.
Drama coaching: created and performed drama lessons with the REC youth theatre group. Volunteered as a teaching assistant with the arts and disability charity LEVEL.
My approach tailors lessons to the difficulties and problems faced by the individual and can focus on improving conceptual understanding as well as phrasing and exam technique to improve results. This involves exploring and fulfilling the course specification criteria and can include further depth and information tailored to the students interest, allowing students to go above and beyond the curriculum to pursue their interests.
I'm happy to teach students of all capabilities and no question is too small nor any answer too big to be tackled together. I aim to make my lessons engaging and interactive to bring out the greatness in any student!
