Benjamin

Hello! My name is Benjamin and I'm currently a 2nd year chemical engineering student studying at the University of Nottingham. Before this, I attended The Ravensbourne School where I achieved 8 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 1 grade 7 at GCSE. Then for sixth form I moved to St Olave's Grammar School where I took maths, chemistry, and physics, and received 3 A*s at A level. This shows that I know a thing or two about what it takes to attain the top grades and I believe that I have the knowledge to help eager students achieve these top grades that they are striving for!

Tutoring Experience

Unfortunately I don't have any official teaching experience past helping my little brother with his homework and helping my friends in class! But I've been fortunate to always be high achieving in school and this comes with many of your classmates coming to you for assistance with classwork.

Tutoring Approach

In my experience, past paper questions have been the most successful way to prepare for exams as they will be of the same difficulty and style to questions in the real exam. For the first session, a set of practise questions will be given so that I can gauge which topics you find the most difficult (this is not an official test don't worry!) and so these topics can be focused on in subsequent lessons. Alternatively, if you already have topics in mind that you're struggling with we can crack right on with those instead! Sessions will be a mix of me teaching as well as you giving questions a go yourself and I'll be here ready to help if you get stuck at all. I'm happy to help with any in class or homework questions that you're confused about as well.
