I am 38 years old working full time as a MFL teacher (French and Spanish). I currently live in Shropshire with my 13 years old son and partner

I am French and born in Cannes.
I was for over 5 years a Administration manager but six years ago I decided to become a teacher in order to share my love of languages and culture to others.

Tutoring Experience

PGCE 2016 and 2017 - Two training one at Idsall School or at the Royal in Wolverhampton.
2017 - 2022 working as a MFL teacher for Aldersley High School.
Jan 2023 working as a MFL teacher for Wrekin College

Tutoring Approach

In MFL it is important to gain confidence through using the different skills (writing, listening, reading and speaking). I will always try and incorporate all 4 skills in my lessons. I like my students to learn for themselves and we have lots of pair and group work, however they know when there is a particular tasks they have to do on their own to check understanding.
I love using authentic resources in MFL, such as songs, books, painting, news paper, Youtube. Students are better engage if it is something they like. For example if we are learning direction - I will look or create a Pokemon map. Suddenly students are more interested.
For GCSE level and upwards - I organise activities ans tasks where all abilities can access the work. It is important for all of my students to make progress at their own level.
