Hello! I am an English Literature graduate from Bangor University.

I have a real passion for the arts and in addition to being an English tutor I am also a trained actor and a keen musician. I also have a very keen interest in Classics and particularly enjoy reading Greek tragedy.

Tutoring Experience

Since graduating, I have tutored students of differing ages and abilities.

Whilst working in Cheltenham, I taught English amongst other subjects to students of varying nationalities, including Italian, French, Chinese, Russian and Korean. When working in Chester, I held the position of Music Technician in an all girls' school and ran a drama group for years 7-9. I also ran a flute ensemble for girls of all ages, and assisted with the school sailing team.

I am also an experienced exam invigilator, with experience of students with additional requirements.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that adapting to the individual needs of pupils is the key to productive learning. Establishing a good rapport with my pupils is also important to me, and I find the prospect of new and individual challenges exciting. Getting pupils to believe in themselves is often key to achieving success! I also pride myself on good preparation for my tutoring sessions.

I am able to offer English Literature and Language to the levels specified, along with spelling, punctuation and grammar tuition.

Note: Online tuition is preferable but I would be willing to travel very locally so please do enquire.
